The main objective of this paper is to examine the relationship between employment and economic growth in developed developing countries over period 1970–2019. As documented literature past, most has been less job-generating than countries, even though high observed world, indicating jobless growth. Based on Cobb–Douglas production function, we an demand model find elasticity with respect using working hours population as explanatory variables. findings present study reveal that elasticities GDP are positive significant countries. But relatively very low (0.11 0.15) compared (0.43 0.48), which led conclusion a possibility exists these imply policymakers should focus more employment-led policies instead growth-led policies, especially
